NovaQTech Introduces the Emergent Strategy Model
NovaQTech Group has introduced the Emergent Strategy Model, an original framework for how strategy is actually formed and directed in organizations. The model holds that strategy flows from two headwaters: a lived stream, arising continuously from real decisions, experiments and events, and a planned stream, set deliberately across long, medium and short horizons. Five functions — Perspective, Intelligence, Agenda, Ventures and Allocation — operate the lived stream, while a horizon planning cycle operates the planned stream. Both streams meet in a single portfolio in which every strategy is tagged Lived, Planned or Blended, and an origin-mix measure shows where an organization’s strategy really comes from. The model is supported by the Emergent Strategy Toolkit, a practitioner package now available in the NovaQTech shop, and by a full article on this website.
